Nirgundi Leaves is a large aromatic shrub commonly found in the warmer regions of India. In traditional Indian medicine, it is known as Sarvaroganivarani, meaning “a remedy for all ailments.”

Nirgundi may help in managing diabetes by improving insulin levels, thanks to its antioxidant properties. It also helps control inflammation by blocking the action of certain inflammatory compounds due to its anti-inflammatory nature.
According to Ayurveda, consuming Nirgundi powder twice a day or applying its paste to the affected area can help manage arthritis and relieve pain because of its Vata-balancing qualities. The root powder of Nirgundi may also be useful in piles, as it helps soothe irritated and inflamed tissues.

Nirgundi is also known to support hair health. Massaging the scalp with oil made from Nirgundi leaves mixed with sesame oil may help reduce premature greying and treat scalp infections.
