Pistacia Integerrima

Karkatshringi, also known as Shikari, is a multi-branched tree known for its unique horn-like outgrowths, called Srngi or galls. These galls are formed by the activity of an insect named Aphis (Dasia asdifactor) and are large, hollow, and cylindrical in shape. Despite their unusual appearance, these structures are packed with potent medicinal properties and have been widely used in Ayurvedic healing.

They emit a pungent odor, taste bitter, and are known for their astringent and expectorant qualities, making them highly effective in managing respiratory and digestive disorders.
