Dosage:
Fill a bowl halfway with Kerala Ayurveda Murivenna Thailam. Place this bowl in warm water until it is just warm. Sit in a comfortable position on a nonslip surface and test the oil’s temperature by placing a drop on your inner wrist. Massage the injured area.
Avoid massaging and instead do a Pichu if you have a burn, twisted muscles, or a sprain. Pichu (sponging) is a simple technique for applying and keeping medicated oil on the affected body part.
It does away with the need for bandages while resting. Apply a piece of cotton to the painful area and soak it in warm oil. To keep the temperature stable, replace the cotton with another cotton dipped in warm oil at regular intervals.
Take a warm bath to allow the oil to penetrate your skin deeply. If you have a sprain, avoid vigorously massaging the affected area.
