Each one of us is much aware about the significance of eating uncooked food and some of us are even aware about alkaline as well. Today we would like to throw more light on these matters- A few things you may not know.

WHY TO PRACTICE WASHING & EATING RAW FOOD?

  • Shopkeepers sells fruits and vegetables in the name of organic and you buy them blindly.
  • Many impurities in food are killed through the cooking process so if you are not cooking, eating raw you must make sure to eliminate trouble by other means.
  • These days it is very rare to find anything pure, without impurities e.g. dirt, micro-organisms, bacteria, etc.
  • Cooking eliminates the above mentioned impurities however also removes many essential vitamins and nutrients.
  • Hence After buying it, it’s our responsibility to clean the produce food and store it in a best possible way.
  • Raw food is rich in dietary fibers, nutrients, vitamins and balances PH level of our body.

HOW TO PRACTICE CLEANSING OF THE PRODUCE RAW FOOD:

Following steps can be taken which will get rid of the nasty stuff without losing its nutritional values:

  1. Soak them in salt water for at least 30 mins.
  2. Wash any raw food in lukewarm water.
  3. A few drops of detergent or vinegar can be added to the soaking water.
  4. Alternatively Alum water can be used as well.

As a well-wisher of your health it’s our prime duty to remind you to add proportionate amount of raw food, juice and fruits in your daily diet.

Consume at least one bowl of salad in every meal. Take sprouted moong, chickpeas, lentils, black beans, etc. in every meal for the protein.

WHAT IS ALKALINE FOOD?

  • The theory of alkaline food is that some foods like meat, wheat, refined sugar, and processed foods, cause to produce acid in your body and in excess this causes discomfort and ill health. Alkaline foods help to reduce the impact of the acidity.

  • Alkaline in your diet will help you to lose weight and will help to avoid problems like arthritis and cancer.

CONCEPT OF ALKALINE

Alkaline helps us to maintain a healthy PH balance in our body. PH balance means maintaining an acidic level of the body in such a proportion which helps to control acidity and helps digestion.

ALKALINE SOURCES

  • Lemon, cucumber, lime, tomatoes, apple, bottle guard, etc. are considered to be best alkaline foods.
  • Alkaline water is a water with higher PH level than normal drinking water, and is meant to induce a basic nature in the body. This water is made of calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium.

SOURCE DOSAGE

  • It is recommended to take them on an empty stomach, either in the morning or taking a gap of three hours from your previous meal.
  • Alkaline in the form of a juice is the most effective.

LEMON WATER

  • Ingredients :-
  1. Lemon-1
  2. Sea salt/ rock salt- 1 ½ tbsp.
  3. Filtered water- 1 litre.
  • Method:-

STEP 1. Take 1 bottle of filtered water in a pitcher.

STEP 2. Squeeze half of the lemon into water, the remaining half you will then cut into thin slices and add into the water.

STEP 3. Lastly add sea salt, stir it well.

  • Now keep that water overnight. Next morning your alkaline water is ready to consume. Go ahead and sip your alkaline water.

(Why overnight? We are keeping it overnight because after few hour lemon will release alkaline into the water and it will help your body to maintain the PH balance)

FRESH HEAVEN

  • Ingredients:-
  1. Lime-1
  2. Cucumber- 1
  3. Orange-1
  4. Sea salt- 1 tbsp.
  5. Water – 1 litre.
  • Method:-

STEP 1. Cut all the ingredients into thin slices.

STEP 2. Add them into the water.

STEP 3. Add the sea salt.

STEP 4. Stir everything well and let it sit overnight.

  • In the morning filter that water and put it aside. Then add one litre water to the left over ingredient and add more salt. Mix well and then filter into the first alkaline water.
  • Now enjoy 2 litre alkaline water whole day.
